A native of the United States, Stacey Duff has been living and working in China for 20 years. He has worked here as a translator, a magazine editor and a journalist. However, most of his career in China has been in education, largely teaching on the university level. Before coming to Shanghai Xing Wei College, Duff also held teaching positions at Wenzhou Kean University (溫州肯恩大學), where he won the Excellence in Teaching Award, and Dongbei University of Finance and Economics (東北財經大學), where he served as director of language and humanities programming.
Mr. Duff joined Shanghai Xing Wei College in August 2021. He especially enjoys the liberal arts atmosphere that Xing Wei provides, as well as collaborating with his colleagues and developing meaningful conversations with our school’s talented and dedicated student body. His favorite courses to teach, so far, include, Music and Literature, Public Speaking and Art History. In his spare time, Duff enjoys writing (and publishing) his poetry in English and walking around Shanghai with his Canon 5D-3 to take photos of this fabulous city.
Stacey Duff graduated with a B.A. in English and a minor in Spanish from College of the Ozarks in Missouri. He went on to graduate with an M.F.A. in Creative Writing (Poetry) from Brown University, which is located in Providence, Rhode Island (USA). Stacey considers himself a lifelong learner and looks forward to further opportunities to grow within the unique learning environment that Xing Wei College has to offer.
